We had our 2009 reunion in Tallahassee, FL. We met on Saturday, October 2 at Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch. I think we took over the restaurant for a couple hours. I know there were many other people there but I honestly was hardly aware of them. We had a wonderful time catching up and having lunch.
Then those who had time went to The Fun Station for a while. We were able to get in one round of go carts before the rain came in. It was actually pretty fun to drive on a bit of a slick track. Once we were stuck inside during the rain we all decided to play some laser tag. It was the first time I had played laser tag but it was quite fun. I improved from the first to second round but it didn't really compare to the skills of Peggy, Scot, Uncle Joe or Benjamin. I'm not sure what mama's score was as she was more interested in blinding us with the camera than actually playing.
Overall it was a quick but fun day with the family. I look forward to the next get together and I hope everyone will be able to join us.
I would like to again thank Monica for the hard work and all the effort she puts forth to make these Family Reunions happen. You have done some "jam up work" (As Opa would say). I truly appreciate the work you do and (if for no other reason) would NOT miss these reunions out of the respect I have for all your hard work! Super Job! Oma would be so proud of the effort you put into keeping the family as close as you can.
